Now that Brooke has been promoted to the role of Mom, the coaches and I will be bringing you Nuggets of Wisdom in lieu of Love Letters from Brooke.
There is an old proverb about the changes we all go through in life…the Byrds even made it into a song.
“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot…a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak…Ecclesiastes 3 (NIV, paraphrased)
This is a FUN time of life changes in the CrossFit & Fearless community. A few that I know about – a slew of babies from Brooke and Eric having Baby Noah, Carrie is due any day now, Ace and Brittany, and a little Busch is coming soon. Several of our members have bought houses and ventured into the joy and hassle that is yard work. Many others are engaged, starting school or starting new jobs and it is all great.
Change can also bring anxiety especially when there is uncertainty. “Now that Brooke is gone, will the gym be the same?” or “Is the new Wonder Woman movie as good as they say it is?” Hard gut wrenching questions we all ask ourselves.
While we can’t guarantee that things will stay the same forever. We can tell you that we will do all we can to keep Crossfit & Fearless the same fun place you enjoy. If you come at noon, you might even see me or Madison coaching the nooners a few days a week. I guarantee you that is a special treat on gymnastics skills days!
So embrace the change when you see new faces come and old faces leave. Come to as many WOD’s as you can since it will be hot outside whether you are here or not. Thanks for being a part of our community, everyone has a hand in who we are.
